The National Post reports in its Thursday edition that Pangea Goldfields
Inc. said that joint-venture partner Randgold Resources Ltd. has agreed to
sell it 50-per-cent interest in the Golden Ridge gold deposit in Tanzania
to Barrick Gold Corp. Terms were not disclosed. The purchase by Barrick
follows its recent offer to acquire Sutton Resources Ltd., owner of the
Bulyanhulu deposit 30 kilometres away. Pangea said that under the terms of
its joint-venture agreement with Randgold, which Barrick will now assume,
Barrick could earn a 65-per-cent interest in the project by completing a
bankable feasibility study by September 2000.

Pangea worth $10.?
I couldn't agree more. The potential is there.
If you read yesterdays post by FP on the geology of the Lake Victoria
Greenstone Belt "tulawaka" property-the recent assay results
were surprisingly much higher quality for the first 40meters than Sutton! If '108' is correct then we are to expect " high values with
high volumes"--much better than Sutton! Therefore the potential for
"tulawaka" is much greater. And... we are not talking yet about the
'other' properties PGD has!
Understand that Tulawaka is the number one priority for them-so
I do expect them to spend more$ on that site to prove reserves.
I think PGD /MDN have really explosive potential to the upside.
My fear is that a Major will try to take them out 'cheaply'
as soon as the initial reserves estimates are released by the
'consulting' company recently hired. I hope not.
