I am a vulture, or a hawk or something with a big beak and nasty sharp claws- are there killer sparrows? I guess I could be one of them. ...look at the bones...they're killers I say...

Yes, you are right. This thread does contain a number of beautiful, brilliant exotic birds, but I've also always been rather partial to sparrows too. I have been moved and touched by more than one post on here.

I was particularly interested in the posts about the mentally handicapped young people and also I was fascinated by nihil's account of his Marine hypnotism experience and then the reply from that person about the genetic coding.

I hope that everyone on here has a nice day today! As that old Irish saying goes....may the wind be always a gentle breeze on your back...or something like that.

The lot of man is ceaseless labour,
Or ceaseless idleness, which is still harder,
Or irregular labour, which is not pleasant.
I have trodden the winepress alone, and I know
That it is hard to be really useful, resigning
The things that men count for happiness, seeking
The good deeds that lead to obscurity, accepting
With equal face those that bring ignominy,
The applause of all or the love of none.
All men are ready to invest their money
But most expect dividends
I say to you: Make perfect your will.
I say: take no thought of the harvest,
But only of proper sowing.
