Hi Tom, poster Number 1! It's been a long road. But today's the day! No surprises really.

Some idle curiosity on the charge which Q! will report in April, which I suppose is related to vendor financing [lots of that outstanding]. Also, it's an outright sale, not a joint venture, which is fine by me since royalties and ASIC sales will bring in the money. Maybe a JV with Ericy people might not be wise - could be personal problems and better to make a clean break.

I wonder how many infrastructure employees will decline huge salary increases from Ericy and apply for jobs back at Q! in handsets or other areas.

I want to see what the chip rate will be. That is important to me. It was a big deal and let's see if Ericy did agree to the cdmaOne chip rate.

China suddenly switching back to cdmaOne was really no surprise at all, though many seemed surprise as much as they were surprised by the pretend cancellation of cdmaOne a couple of weeks ago.

What's even better is that this is only the beginning of the Big Black Hole expansionary phase.

Until now, Q! has been in the black hole stage of eternity. Now it has bust forth and is the focus and centre of the communications revolution. A LOT of people are going to hear about Qualcomm now.

This is the epitome of The New Paradigm.

In rhapsody...CDMA now has few enemies. The world is in harmony [at least on this little piece of the human jigsaw]. Ericy has enjoyed redemption thanks to the goodness of Irwin and co who have taught them civilisation as well as CDMA.

Irwin-Lars Interview: Why Did I stay up for it?
The interviewer focused on whether one would be able to use one's cell phone anywhere in world, not on how it affects the company's businesses. Basically, nothing new. The two companies ae jointly supporting a "single 3G standard with three optional modes." Ericy gets leg up on cdma by buying infrastructure division. One telling thing, in response to last question, Lars stated "this new standard will be the dominant platform." If I read that right, then Ericy is now committed to cdma as the dominant platform for the future. CNBC later phrased the settlement as Ericy adopting Qualcomm's 3 G standard. Lars used term cdma, not W-CDMA.

Some of you guys who have your pulse on the figures. What is the increase in share price from no longer having the infrastructure division loss?
