To all, Mark Edelstone is pounding the table hard this morning. He says everything appears to be on track for a late Q3 launch. He reiterates outperform and $110 target. He says $1.40 estimate for 2000 may be quite conservative if Samsung gets into high gear and meets their own internal expectations. Samsung expects 20% of their overall bit production to be RDRAM by the end of this year. Samsung wants 30 % RDRAM market share next year and they anticipate half of their overall production will be RDRAM by Q4 2000. Samsung is a big player, they control about 20% of current DRAM output - I guess Intel didn't invest $100 million in Samsung for nothing!

Says Sony and Intel have a huge vested interest to make sure RMBS is on track and available in mass quantity - they will drive the market.
As a result, the most recent version on Camino (Intel's 820 chipset) should come out of the fab in the next month or so.

He also says we may look for $8 per share by 2002.

Let's see what happens today,

Doug
