<--OT-->Heard about the Ericsson deal-You should makes some on QCOM today.BTW the other day the World body who regulates(?) the telecomm industry decided to let the market place decide on the wireless tech instead of them picking and choosing.Looks like now the manufactures will have to work together to come with a solution or else the market will decide for them.

Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM): The cellular phone and network
equipment maker and Ericsson AB (ERICY), the world's No. 3 mobile
phone maker, said they resolved a patent dispute over wireless
communication technology. Ericsson will buy the Qualcomm unit
that makes mobile equipment using code-division multiple access,
or CDMA, technology that is used in the U.S. Qualcomm will take a
charge connected with the sale. The companies declined to reveal
details of the acquisition or the charge. Qualcomm rose 5 1/4 to
87 3/8, Ericsson American depositary receipts, each representing
one series B share, fell 1 1/2 to 21 1/16.
