That is probably EM buying back shares for CPQ. (Which, explains a lot.)

Michael: I was ready for it today. When it was up 1 I put an order in for a few thou at $31 7/8. It went all the way down and filled it.

Maybe it is the mom and pop daytraders following momentum. They buy at the open. No follow through by the institutions until later.
