The opportunities in this market are HUGE.

I agree, and it's clear that Microsoft is already heavily involved in the cable/broadband area. But I don't see that MS needs @home or T at this point in the game. They especially don't need @home if Microsoft partner Comcast drops @home in favor of Microsoft partner RoadRunner. If @home loses Comcast, then their pass-by percentage drops to 40-50% and the MS-associated RoadRunner grows to something around 40%.

The big question is AT&T. Are they willing to enter into a broadband partnership of some kind with Microsoft or are they looking for more control over the future direction of things?
