Hello Mohan: No, I have not heard that story, but sounds very much like the story of Kunti - the Sun God - and the birth of Karna in Mahabharat, and also the begining of Shakuntala. Anyway, what is your excuse for not reading Shakuntala? If you have alreday read once, here is a Word formatted copy of Shakuntala for your friends and second reading. geocities.com I gave a copy to the 10 grade advance placement english students at my son's school last week,and showed them a picture (laser printer) of postage stamp issued by Indian P & T a few years back on Kalidas's Meghduta.
