Gary:

I know some brilliant and hard working tech types in MU. Like many N. American companies, Micron has an excellent corps of engineers. The company unfortunately is in a nasty business at a difficult point in time. My complaint rest entirely with the market's silly valuation.

If one looks back, it was the Koreans who made the big expenditures of two-three years ago. It is they who now have the technology advantage. I might add that they continue to spend on upgrading, so they aren't about to give up their advantage. The Koreans made money on chips last year, while most others did not. They also effectively doubled their production through yield improvement as well. It is going to be a tough row to hoe for the Micron boys. The stock price does not yet reflect reality. I suspect that the coming TXN/INTC selling will accomplish this.

Best, Earlie
