makes sense as you put it...dell in essence a contract manufacturer as scsi is...as long as dell gets it margins...i would care less if ibm "gives" them away.... i still think ibm direction will be toward profitable divisions such as oem sales and service...

But if IBM just makes an agreement to get Dell machines with an IBM logo (at a good price) then it makes more sense.

Hey, it works for Costco (Kirkland), why not for IBM?
