Neocon,

I don't think that Bubba Clinton has the
nerve to send ground troops into Kosovo.
Everyone knows he is unwilling to fight
his way into the situation, and Mislovic
knows he can survive Bubba's cruise missle
attacks just like Saddam. So I think that
after about another few days of politically
correct bombings (launch at night so as to
not hurt anyone), NATO will start to crumble.
As I understand it, Italy is already falling
out of line. Boris Yeltsin could stop the
war by just stating that he was going to
back the Serbs but since the IMF is dangling
billions of dollars in front of him, he will
keep his mouth shut less he lose the easy
money.

The scary thing here is that this war could
expand rather quickly should everyone start
backing their favorite side. Just like the
civil war in Bosnia went from a minor street
fight to a full blown conventional war, this
Kosovo scuffle could erupt should other
nations start pumping weapons and money into
the fray. I think that Bill Clinton has
walked NATO right into quicksand...easy to
get into, very hard to get out.
