i wanted a new high... and $110 was just about it... arbitrary buy point (aren't they all ;-)

lod, there is no way to when... if i knew i'd be spending all my money and not posting here ;-)

however, there are risk reducing strategies. buy at or near all time highs. buy in 1/3 positions. diversify companies and industries. buy out of the money puts so if it runs opposite you limit losses. set aside only 10% of available options cash into options every year. max loss is then about 6%. max gain depends on how good or how lucky you are...
