Dave, FTTH, or Fiber to the Home, in generic terms, has meant to me: A passive optical network (PON) approach to bringing fiber from the head end to the residential building (through passive splitters, and possibly bidirectional pump amplifiers on the longer trunk lines to the neighborhood). But this has been "enhanced" beyond the passive to include ATM, SONET and other contaminants in some backbone distribution rings in various architectures which are discussed. So, I don't rightly have an answer for you that spells out what FTTH is in a universally accepted way. Maybe one of the cable plant gurus here can help us out with this. Frank_C.
