Actually no. It is a family of standards, and if Europe goes W-CDMA version of the family (which I suspect they will), Qualcomm is largely out in the cold. The only saving grace is the same one that existed before this deal and that is that CDMA-2000 has a time-to-market advantage and so China et al may choose to go that way.
