FED SEES POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS FROM Y2K - Gramlich
(Last updated 5:19 PM ET March 25)

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve is worried about its ability to provide emergency loans to banks whose computers might seize up because of the year 2000 bug, a senior Fed official said Thursday ... The Fed governor said the balance-sheet constraints have become a concern in light of a trend of a decline in the amount of reserves that banks hold with the central bank.

=============================================================

Sorry I don't have much time to post these days. Parents coming to visit in 2 weeks. I have mucho contractors "hauling *ss" to get everything done by then. Had seven trucks lined up in drive past 2 days. Pretty stressful and exhausing. Did manage to get 11 people over here for a dinner party yesterday. I needed a "warm-fuzzy" and some semblance of normalcy in my life ... if only briefly. I will never, ever live in a home going through major renovation again!!! I'm tired of the dust and lack of privacy. SIGH - oh well - only a few more weeks ...
