Very smart to negotiate with the states instead of doj. Go right after the toughest problem. It'll get easier from there.

I deal with negotiations very day. One would have to be very naive to think that the states would meet with msft if the offer is way too low. It had to be interesting.

Johnd and others,

Do you really expect a settlement between the DOJ and MSFT in the near future? I am not so sure. Anyway, the issue is running wide and from now on it's blue sky for the next 3-4 sessions.

where do u thikn stock will close tomorrow????? i m trading this one. sold aol i picked up yesterday and bot msft this morn for a split. it's looking preety cheap at 90...on to $100

should i sleep w. it overnight? or dump in the split run?

still have y2k1 leaps to sell
all out of y2k.

can't wait to get doj out of hair. then maybe it trades like internet comp.
