Nice excerpt on EBLD from January '99 Maedel's Mini-Cap Analyst newsletter:

"For example our only Internet pick, Entertainment Boulevard
(Entertainmentblvd.com)
, shares remain up over 150% from when we recommended them barely three months ago, and ended last week roughly unchanged. One has to keep in mind, however, that while there are advantages to being the biggest on the block, such as in Amazon's case, the idea that a company like Amazon.com will dominate its retail sector strikes us as just plain silly. Soon, retail websites will be like toothbrushes - everyone will have one. On the Internet, the barriers to entry are fractionally proportionate to those in the physical world and, as a consequence, them will always be a never-ending stream of upstarts with better-than-average chances of outsmarting and outmaneuvering today's leaders. The consequence? It is incumbent upon 'Net investors to take the pulse of the market on a near-daily basis. There will be small companies, such as Entertainment Boulevard, that will become "hits" with the public, but when it comes to giants there is no way to go but down."

Note: he's rumored to be picking EBLD as one of his top 5 "Hot Stocks" for 1999 in his next newsletter, due out by month-end.
