As a cable operator, the CUBE/Divi open architecture has got to be the way to go. Why go with a closed system such as GI? The Macintosh is a closed system, and the open system PC blew it away in terms of sales volume. Philips has great technology, mass production capability, and chipmaking capability..... and it chose CUBE/DIVI. That should tell us something about CUBE's technology and strategic marketing ability...
