Mar 29, 1999 (Asia Pulse via COMTEX) -- (The following is a news release of Fujitsu Limited. Contact details below.)

NEW YORK, March 29 Asia Pulse - Fujitsu Limited announced global availability of its INTERSTAGE enterprise application middleware, a suite of inter-working software
products that provide enterprises with a flexible distributed object environment incorporating the latest network computing technology.

Introduced in Japan in April 1998, INTERSTAGE has been well received as an optimal new object-distributed environment for the Internet age.

Beginning today, INTERSTAGE will be marketed through local Fujitsu subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide (see customer contacts below for details).

Information systems must support continuous change in the business environment by allowing companies to rapidly restructure existing applications and streamline the
business process to create and capitalize on new opportunities.

"Linking organizations, other corporations and customers will be successful only if these connections are highly flexible," stated Junji Maeyama, Member of the Board and
Group President of Software Group for Fujitsu Limited.

Incorporating network computing international standard technology for the application server environment, INTERSTAGE provides a broad range of application server
infrastructure services and features, such as:

- A distributed object environment based on the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) standard;

- Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) componentware enabling a transaction environment within the network computing environment;

- A distributed object server system that can be linked with a WWW browser by using the InfoObjects an interface between WWW and CORBA objects; and

- EJB technology support that makes it easy for developers to create, deploy and manage cross-platform, component-based server applications.

Other options and related services include: - An interface to connect Jasmine(*), the first true object-oriented database management system, and CORBA; and

- A "wrapping" process that allows utilization of existing legacy protocols.

"Fujitsu's INTERSTAGE meets enterprise requirements for a comprehensive network computing environment embracing CORBA and EJB standards," said Rowland Archer,
president and CEO of HAHT Software. "It has been a pleasure to work with Fujitsu to integrate HAHTsite and INTERSTAGE. The result provides the unusual combination of
rapid application development coupled with high-end, enterprise deployment."

"We congratulate Fujitsu on delivering INTERSTAGE for the enterprises," said Jim Bidzos, Vice Chairman of Security Dynamics Technologies Inc. and RSA Data Security
Inc. "We look forward to working with Fujitsu to provide the best security for these exciting new products."

"We are delighted Fujitsu has developed a server platform that supports the Enterprise JavaBeans(tm) component architecture," said Bill Roth, product line manager for
Enterprise Java. "By leveraging the benefits of the Enterprise JavaBeans technology, INTERSTAGE simplifies the development and deployment of distributed n-tier
applications."

"TDI will integrate its OBMS product - the first complete Online Business Management System - with Fujitsu's scalable distributed object software, INTERSTAGE, in order
to allow enterprises to take advantage of explosive growth of online business opportunities," said Dr. Mohammad Ketabchi, CEO and President at TDI, a prominent Silicon
Valley software company. Pricing of INTERSTAGE is based on configuration, and sales, marketing and technical support will be carried out by Fujitsu's local subsidiaries
and affiliates.
