tadster, sure, mu is cutting costs... they are also ramping output at an amazing rate. the boxmakers have tons of inventory... price wars abound... sub $600 computers are 20% of the market and growing (didn't exist last year)... can anybody say sub $400 boxes???

this is a disaster! i said a while back that the only thing between mu at $20, $80 and $20 would be about a dime in profits per q.

btw, how negative was their cash flow last q? $100-200 million?

spend 50 cents to make a 12 cents (in a "good" q ;-), repeat 'til broke - this ain't a good way to make gonja dough, imho...

we have a nightmare on our hands.

btw, i bet txn and intel are shorting, and have been since before $80, in order to lock in their profits.

i expect the fall to continue with a few bumps in the road...
