Punishment should fit the crime. If their contracts are unduly exclusionary, then change that. But don't tell a company you can no longer acquire other companies. That hurts everyone. The SEC scrutinizes every merger and some they deny. This is as much oversite and buearacracy as anyone really wants or needs.

I like SUNW and Scott, but this is a dumb idea. Reminds me of the Kurt Vonnegut short story where they made fast people wear weights and those with excellent sight had to wear glasses. Just plain dumb.
