Dan,

Buy Dell.

They're so damn cheap nowadays you can't go wrong with them. Plus I own a whole lot of DELL.

Dan,

Dell's and Gateways are good mid range machines...

good warranty support. dell is getting worse though.

HP's great on the high end. very well built boxes...

lately have been buying midwest micro. dirt cheap, good components.

what ever you do buy 12 exactly the same.

configure 1. and then use Drive image to clone the other 11.

If you don't know how to do network boot floppies or have a Jaz etc....

simply installing the HD to clone as a slave takes about 5 minutes and 15-30 minutes to clone. This alone regardless of brand will save you hours and guarantee there identical.

save that image and if they screw up in the future just restore the image.

Midwest Micro is at:

mwmicro.com

look at their workstation line. good parts, nothing but the OS comes loaded....

of course NT is the OS choice to consider....

Sean

Buy from a local "screw driver" shop. If you buy
Dell or Gateway you are going to pay for all those
support techs that are reinstalling Windows 95/98
over the phone.
