There are a couple other things. Everyone knows PC growth is having the brakes slammed on and brutal pricing pressure as well as product mix. Also, not too many seem to have noticed, but Lou Gerstner of IBM said the business PC is dead. Business will be moving to powerful networks with, presumably, dumb terminals. So they will only be buying notebooks, I guess. Sounds like they are going back to the old days before PCs where everyone was hooked into central iron. Does make sense for the office since everyone is networked, who cares where the computing power is.

Can the "little" boxmakers make sophisticated enough central boxes? It will be a challenge. I would say kiss goodbye margins and welcome to the TV biz.
