Hi RS, I've been studying the CBOE options on VLSI to see if I could take a stab at a buy-out price. I have to say that the numbers baffle me in that regard. The $20s are active, but the $22.50s are asleep. $25s don't exist during this calendar year.

Does this mean traders are guessing at about a $20 to $22.50 "deal" price? I'm supposed to let about 15% of my shares go at $20 and could grab a nice bit of pocket change if I sold some $20 Calls out a couple of months. Hmmmmmmm.

Best regards, Tom

"What's good for ERICY is eventually going to do good for VLSI."

Not necessarily so. VLSI has been working with Dot Wireless to provide an alternative to QCOM's MSM3000 chip. This work was being done for ERICY.

I think it is quite possible for ERICY to concede the current generation chipset to QCOM, (pulling the plug on VLSI/DOT project) and focus on 3G.

Regarding 3G, I can't conceive of ERICY not working with their new 'best pal' QCOM, leaving VLSI out in the cold.

IMHO
