MKilloran, the truth is that would be possible to pre analyze RMBS quarterly earnings by looking at the last quarterly of their largest licensees, and thus the price of RMBS will always reflect these earlier than in other companies (the quirks, of course is the fact that RMBS gets paid three months after their licensees ship, if memory serves).

killer,
you are right rmbs collects royalties the quarter following shipping but
rmbs fiscal year starts in oct. so 1999 holiday sales will count as year 2000 revenue.
rdram shipped in jul, aug, sep will also reflect on year 2000. i think the analysts are just waiting for a ship confirm date from intc to jack the earnings estimates up. too many product announcements to ignore imo.
