I know TIP, I like it a lot and can do just about anything with it. Together with Metastock 6.5 and a dab of Technifilter (for point & figure breakouts) that essentially my trading system. The access fees will be waived if you join a certain plan (99 a month I think) I have had the same plan for 3 years, I never really analyzed it. I have both the software version and the Wall Street City version telescan. Running both from the internet will save you lots of money by not using their server. I would not load up on a lot of software thinking that is the holy grail.. Get one, learn it. I will take you months to use it profitably. Why burden yourself with 2 major trading packages at once.? Once you make some successful trades with Telescan, learn more about Technical Analysis, and feel you want sometime more advance or as a 'plugin' then try pattern smasher. After using Telescan for three years, I know think I am ready for pattern smasher. The 'want ads' offering slightly-used Tradestation software at discount price are many. Tradestation is not user friendly, if you get it expect to spend a few months learning to use it profitably.
