Mohan, the economics being described by the writer are those of the automobile. Steve Jobs thinks so too (viz. iMac colors). In the auto business, dealers make more money taking the suckers for all they're worth and cutting margins to the bone making quick sales to informed buyers than they would with a Saturn-like pricing structure. If this writer is right, there will be winners and losers -- and, more than likely, an assignment of automaker multiples to boxmakers.
