Larry

that gave me a smile

>>> Remember horse and buggies, corsets, and when girls were shy?

I remember the girl part, but the others I only know cause and old friend of mine from upstate NY told me about them

there are lots of ways to make a buck in the market; hindsight suggests the ways that may have been a lot easier than the way we do it at times

my trading account, which is kept "small" is up about 74% so far ytd; mainly from selling short
my position "hold" account, much larger in size, is up about 18%; all longs
that's a decent annual return for any historical year but these days it looks downright shabby
I have stupidly been sitting on a lot of crap and about 50% cash for most of the year

so if I had blended all and followed the lead you did for your son would have done better

but think of all the fun and stress that I would have missed

anyway, in 12 hours we get to do this all over one more time; trying to to keep from getting sterile from the radiation coming from 5 monitors and looking for an angle to win in the daily war

Chat CLB

CLB got hammered today after missing earnings. CLB is a solid company in the oil service sector. This sector is currently making a good turnaround and I certainly would expect CLB to follow. CLB is certainly worth watching for a dead cat bounce for sure....imho.
