No, I'm saying that SUV buyers who pay MSRP are suckers. If auto-like economics take over the PC industry, then the volume will be done at low margin, and the profits will come from suckers: paying list, financing, and the like. Gateway has already embraced that model with its showrooms; Dell is halfway there with its lease rates. Regarding multiples, I am loathe to predict what the market will do: I think it's crazy now, so why should it suddenly regain its sanity? Regarding working for Mother Merrill, New York is just not attractive to a fellow living in the Bay Area. -bakunin
