<Something is missing here.If this takeover is so imminent then why is the price stalled at 18? Tim,you are a very astute person and you must agree that something does not look right.Maybe if FORE was approaching 19 or makes a run during the day at 19 I could rest easy that an offer was coming. The fact that it stays right around 18-18-.5 leads me to summarize that the offer(if at all) will be in the range of 16 - 19 dollars.Any comments? >

Beach,
If you guys are going to bet on a buyout, you better have a 6 month time frame. I have went through a few and they can string out that long. If you are in FORE for a buyout, QUIT watching the price minute to minute and day to day. If you believe in the buyout let it run or if you don't get out.

Lu was rumored to buy ASND in the spring of 98. And if you looked at the 2 companies fit, it was a no brainer. 9 months later, it finally happened. After the buyout it was learned that they had serious discussions in June of 98. In October of 98 LU was eligible for pooling of interest and everyone was sure that was the date. It didn't happen then, and the speculation went on. Finally LU pulled the trigger in 99. 9 or 10 months on a deal that was a no brainer for both companies. it took a long time, but the rewards were sweeter for ASND holders.
