This is a $3 bil deal over 5 years EMC has annual sales of over
$4 bil per year. So if EMC buys $300 000 worth of disk drives
in the first year from IBM it leaves a lot of room for Seagate
to provide the rest.
This press release is not a big deal at all.

I agree. Thank you for the info. I refer you to #726, second paragraph. I published yesterday. I think strategic alliances are probably the going to be necessary for survival in business during the next decade.
