linuxworld.com

Photoshop for free

Summary
Apache is nice, but on the desktop Joe Barr has no question about which Linux application deserves the title of Killer App. It's the GIMP. In this month's column, Joe discusses the powerful scripting and plugin features that make the GIMP so darned good. (1,800 words)

Dear Greg,

I am a recovering Corel addict. I think I have kicked the habit
in that I now own no COSFF stock.

I made the first step towards rehabilitation by confessing to
my peers that I made a MISTAKE in buying in the first place
by assuming these guys knew how to capitalize on a Word Perfect
asset purchase (WRONG)

I am working on my compulsion to purchase CHEAP stocks on the
supposition that a cheap stock is somehow related to a GOOD
stock.

I believe I am now clear I want nothing to do with companies run
by charlatans and feather-merchants.

I am also working on my fascination with death and destruction, which
I see is still with me, in that I continue to read this thread.

May the force of COREL ABSTENTION be and remain with you!

Best regards,
Jim Calladine
