dell's business is quickly going south with all the other boxmakers. Aren't you guys confusing profitability with market share? Dell is gaining mkt share... come on! Edit: whoops sorry Glenn I should have sent this to Skeeter

gdr, retail revs were down 16% - first time pc revs were ever acknowledged to be negative in the history of the pc. sales slowing for 3 years and running. now negative. still declining. no turn around in site. channels are stuffed. sub $600 pc is 20% of the market (0% last year). $299 pc coming shortly. y2k concerns mounting. dell says revs will sequentially increase in mid single digits (30%??? down from 60%???). dell says they have to lower prices. two rev misses in a row for dell - the first time in 4-5 years they even had one rev miss. caveat emptor.
