Could be shorting covering.. perhaps there was a large short position and "they" decided to cover (buy stock to close out they short) at that moment ... 3. Could be the MM sharks playing games when they get word of a stock "ticket" and they want to sell the "hot" stock at a higher price.. Regardless, when you see a spike like that, there will be selling.. Selling from the folks who bought at a low price to make a profit, selling from people who bought at a higher price and now they have a chance to get out with a lesser loss. Plus, this type of scenario gets on the "radar" screen of short sellers, the sharks who come and sell borrowed shares to make money on the down fall.. And there is lotts of short selling sharks.. Lets face it, if you saw a stock trending down for a long time and all of a sudden there is a quick rally, are you going to sell your shares or wait, thinking it will go higher ? Pirate
