MZ: Don't know about AACR yet. Going through those abstracts is always such a pain, as they accept virtually anything for presentation. Very low threshold for getting an AACR abstract accepted, IMO. Regarding REGN.... yes, they have money. Maybe they think that they can just close their eyes to the sector problems? That would be dumb. They have cash and lots of good patents (preclinical). Now is the time for them to *merge* with a company that has some late-stage projects but no cash. For example, you were just lamenting the structure of the SUGN financing. I can't believe how lame-brained the sector CEOs are right now. I have long been supportive of Schleifer. No longer. Are you preparing for retirement, Dr. Schleifer? Need a place/desk to put your feet during the working day? With the money that you have flowing through the labs, you should (1) have been more productive, and (2) be preparing to enter into a partnership to increase the breadth of your pipe. We don't see any innovation coming out of Tarrytown other than that from Yancopoulos, Len baby! About time you turned over the reigns to someone else? Do you need a list of companies that you should be talking to? Would you like us to prepare one for you?
