If Q retained control of the logic chip development in 3G infrastructure, then I would feel more at ease. Hopefully tomorrows conference call will clarify the deal from QCOM's perspective.

To Art: Since Clark seems to prefer staying awake to restful sleep, we might as well hope he and others who view the glass darkly will note the facts at least. Never repeat never was there the slightest suggestion that the sale of the infrastructure assets of the Q was for anything other than cash. Also it was clear that the sale of essential infrastructure "stuff" (elegant term for Surfer Mike's benefit) to Nortel would continue as has been the case in the past. Or as might be interpreted, Nortel would continue to receive the software elements of base stations necessary to Nortel infrastructure sales. Not chump change. :-) But again, zzzzz seems a good idea tonight. Tomorrow (and tomorrow and tomorrow, etc. ) may give us a clue on which to judge, no? Chaz
