<<..What if
the bombing does not succeed. What is the next step? Bomb the civilians because
now they support their man when before the bombing started they did not or only>>

Saw some Military guy on the tube last night that said that no government has ever been changed by bombing... "Grunts with guns are required" , is how he put it...

I am quite sure that the boys are aware of this , and have every intention of installing ground troops,, unless the only reason for this is to get more funding for stealth B 52's...
D.Pend

BTW,, bombing Civilians is a big favourite,, Starts with errant bomb talk..., escalates to " used to be military installation" and then OOps , Made a mistake, to , not talking about it at all ,, sort of like Iraq right now, which I do believe thay are still bombing every single day... or we also have Hiroshima and Nagasaki---

Eddy,

The bombing will accomplish nothing unless the Serbian people or military leadership decide that enough is enough and Milosevic has to go to salvage whatever is left.

All it takes is a change in government. And the one thing that most generals hate is finding out that their "toys" are being destroyed willy-nilly, and that their country will be left militarily neutered and vulnerable to attacks from Croatia, Albania, Hungary... etc. I believe there is a good chance of a coup attempt by some rival power. The question is who and when?

As for ground troops, I've posted my thoughts previously. I think it would be a big mistake.
