Keeping Outlook Express open and set to check for messages every five minutes sends data to your ISP and keeps your connection from automatically disconnecting. Most ISP's will disconnect if idle for 30 mins. I contacted my local ISP and they changed it to one hour. You need to send something to keep connected beyond the set time. My new connection with UUNET will not kick. It is also faster than my previous ISDN ISP. Check for a local POP number in your city. UUNET is an MCI WorldCom Company uunet.com
