Thread,
Would maybe somebody here help me out by checking out ABBBY. I'm biased, 'cause on account of that's where I work (and they gave me a nice raise today too <VVBG>).
Perhaps a delayed reaction to the ABB Astrom JV announcement or maybe somebody likes that Pierce guy an awful lot, but today's volume got my attention. There seems to be a MIMBO going on, tying to break out of an IHS with an uptrending neckline (actually there's bee a bunch of those, but never the volume). Those uptrending necklines are tough to get through but now there are IHS's set up in the 55 & 88 dCCI, strong MACD, stoch cross overs all over the place with the 89,3,5 stoch cross over way up at 90, and I don't know what all else.
So what am I missing? I'm wondering if this might be an opportune time to invest in myself (and a few hundred thousand others)?
Thanx...Alski

P.S. ABB has been pretty good with major press releases lately:

Market magnets 3.29.99

notes from a trepid bull:

Dow: Encouraging we touched 9905 neutral zone (theoretical data)
again Friday. Mids are 2/3 down 1/3 up. Weekly downgrade to hold.
Important tlines to watch this week: Set of three (9387, 9425,
9554) if weakness occurs this week look for this set of tlines to
provide serious support. If they were to fail a weekly sell would
likely occur. 10199 utrend is the newest mag uptrend and as a bull I
would like to see this tline tested and or broken to the upside. The
neutral zones have a way of being pesky in their magnetic abilities
so basing out here for a while is not out of the question. I am
quite neutral on the Dow after last weeks action.

Nasdaq: Weekly hold. Mids: 2/3 up, 1/3 down. Double pump magnet
signal given Friday which is bullish. Watch the 2444 dtrend closely
as it needs to be overtaken early this week followed by a break
through 2477 utrend. Key tlines 2276 utrend has been the key tline
on all recent nas pullbacks. It must hold if we pullback or 2055
becomes the likely downside target. Do to the double pump action of
the magnet indicators I am more bullish on the nasdaq then the other
indexes. I expect it to make a run at the 2477 utrend early this
week.

SP500: Weekly hold. Mids: 2/3 down, 1/3 up. 1315 utrend needs to
be recovered. The action last week was somewhat mixed: bullish in
that the pullback stopped a few points above the 85 line showing me
buyers are jumping in early. Bearish in that it pulled farther away
from the 1315 (most recent mag uptrend) and did not really make an
attempt to recover. SP500 has me decidedly on the fence. ;0)

Nasdaq 100: weekly hold. Mids 2/3 up, 1/3 down. 2066 utrend is a
result of new mag signal given Friday. It must hold as support early
in the week and I expect it to do so. Again, the nasdaq is showing
more bullish tendency than the Dow or SP to me.

Note on R2K: nice bounce of tline which was noted last week (Tuesday
I believe) and a recovery of the H&S neckline has been achieved.
This indicates to me we are starting to see the small caps show
some resiliency and it is likely a good time to line some up for buy
and holds. Still weekly sell rating on the index so buying any small
caps for holds is more toward the risk side IMO. But, tracking some
and finding stocks at supports or breaking out will be my strategy
for accumulation.
