all the states won't "settle" for anything...their
rediculous demands will help msft as you point out.

the longer it goes on the more the landscape
changes the better it looks for msft. bet that aol
is praying for settlement so they can start behaving
like a monopolist

djia - why are you bashing the Republicans by saying "they could lose everthing and end up with absolutely nothing jsut like the Republicans"

- Repubs control boths houses & most governerships. They are the ruling party of the land. Everyone wants smaller taxes & less gov't - except the Commie Liberals of course.

- Anyway, MSFT is on the right side of the law. They've done nothing wrong by competing aggressively. They've made no exclusionery-type deals to prevent anyone else from doing anything. So MSFT should not be so quick to settle.
