I expect all patient investors will be doing very well by summer time, if not sooner.

IMHO, day trading for the vast majority is largely a waste of time unless one has nothing better to do in life.

Imagine, for example, if you bought and held on to any of the following: AOL, YHOO, AMZN, MSFT, INTL, AAPL, TFSM, PSIX, EFII, MALL...even just say, a thousand shares of only ONE of these companies, say, 1 - 3 years ago (in the case of the newer entries, 6 - 8 months ago). You'd be wealthy today and not have wasted your time and psychic energy following, and trading on, the daily dips and rises.

Just an opinion.
