Have I got this Right? Last quarter net income using US GAAP was approx. $2 mil. Using Canadian GAAP it was approx. $50 mil. This was due to the $49 mil charge that was taken for the purchase of Chromatic Research. This quarter under US GAAP there will be no charge on this item since it was all taken in one quarter, whereas under Canadian GAAP it will be approx. $16 mil. In other words, all other things being equal (and I suppose they never are) net income under US GAAP should be considerably improved and under Canadian GAAP it will be reduced. Any comments?? (These are all US dollar numbers.)
