Interesting comment. Barry Diller (because I traded CMGI recently, I was watching the David-Barry show.....) commented on this.

When he offered what he did for LCOS, he mentioned something akin to the following: He "wasn't going to pay way up for LCOS because a mess of daytraders mo-mo'd the stock to high heaven".

I think you just might be starting to see a new thinking on valuations that are NOT solely dependent on the current stock price, because the stock price is NOT a reflection of the company value.

Some of the stock prices may just be out of whack with the reality of what a bidder will pay. Take-under is what this is now called....

Not something specific to QWST mind you, but something to think about in any buyout, or merger of equal (the PC term).
