Of course you are right about everything. You must know that this is all standard behavior for analysts. As far as being scared, it is usually a great position to be in to be the only seller or buyer in town.

And futures indicate no gap up, certainly. I'd prefer a somewhat weak opening, and then a positive sustained move later. But nothing lasts forever.

Thanks to all for the posts. I suppose I should be scared now since only one person has
made money buying AMZN puts. I should also be scared since it will "obviously gap up"
tomorrow (although if this is so obvious why did everyone not buy calls?)

This thread is great and I believe there are a lot of very bright investors here. The error rate is high if one looks at the posts and compares the movement of AMZN stock. The frquency of a gap up and a prediction of such appears to match but it is pure chance. There are more predictions of an up gap and over the last year AMZN has gapped up more than it has gapped down. I would not worry about the mood of the thread since it changes based on the movement of the stock. The movement of the stock is not affected by the moof of the thread.
