The more I read about LCOS the more I don't like it.

We need to dump LCOS asap.

Wetherell is damaging his reputation on the street.

Who will ever want to do a deal with one of CMGI's companies in the future knowing that Wetherell pulls stunts like this? He has seesawed back and forth setting up a situation where he cannot win no matter what the outcome.

Let the pride go and take your damn profit. These stakes are not worth it.

JMO, and still long CMGI.

Stuart

Thanks for the links. You know, although the fuel for tech or .com IPOs appears to be something with lunar launch capabilities, I've often mused about the exit strategies for the shareholders of them.

IMO, eventually, whatever doesn't get taken, gets sold: your house, your car, the garage clutter, and maybe even the company you work for. But whomever buys these items does so with cash or cash denominated assets.

There is a time tested axiom that he who has the gold, rules. Nowhere is this more clear to me than in the USA Net/Lycos deal. Despite all the posturing, if CMGI wants to validate its business model (and it isn't validated until a cash buyer is willing to say it is...)then the Lycos deal has to go through at Diller's price.

How will this affect CMGI? I think it will still be a volatile stock and will continue to have the pricing swings that we have seen. Beyond that, you can only trade what the market gives you and fortunately, there's still a great deal of speculation about CMGI.

Best regards,

Mark A. Peterson
