Does anybody else have trouble reading this from the news release on the land sale and understanding? Management states that the company has no intention of selling the company-owned timber producing property in the State of Amazonas in Brazil which accounts for 25% of its total land holdings. These properties that are incorporated into a company-owned and government approved Forest Management Program since 1994 are not for sale. I guess some people start beginning to believe their own hype!! Dave

david with all respect guy, it is not my lack of diligence imo, but rather your 'interpetation' of the claims in these releases, for example; the release claims that the lab is producing "24 products from 100% dry natural plants", this is NOT a reference to 'timber' as you suggest, but rather, it is to the herbal products madera claims to be producing from the brazilian rainforest, yet"copaiba" & "maca andiruba", 2 of the products mentioned, are oils. further,your sources are 'releases'. have you contacted SUFRAMA in brazil to verify sanctions about selling land in the brazilian rainforest? even if sold, the brazilian govt. now has the rights to all resources from the land, rendering it a useless purchase if the intent is to sell it for lumber. tell me how much wood madera exports from from the brazilian rainforest david, or if this land is used to harvest phytogenic materials, can you tell us if madera has an export license? there is only one on file & it belongs to aznt. this is not to say madera products do not derive from peru, etc. janices 'DD" is not to be depended on guy, she claimed aznt "had no lab", "stevia is natures taste", etc. etc. so i cannot defer to her dribble. "....As far as the release last night that said they had the most profitable quarter ever, They ship wood from Peru AND Brazil. I know that it is hard to comprehend. ....." really david, madera is shipping wood from the brazilian rainforest? to where? with who's authority? do not refer me to releases. manaus is a free trade zone, shipments leaving there are documented & it would be very surprising to me if the brazilian govt. lifts its sanctions for madera. but, if you can verify this i will relent to the companys claims. are you familar with the sanctions the brazilian govt. has in place concerning the sale of rainforest land or profiting from its resources? you claim to "feel sorry" for one who "can't read a release", but i informed you i 'did' read it & it was problematic for me because of the points i raised. i believe you are the one who is lacking diligence to make an informed decision. again, i suggest you call SUFRAMA because they will be able to enlighten you with current sanctions & regulations concerniing the brazilian rainforest. you still have not answered david who the 'chemical engineer' they hired is, what is the address of the plant, sources can't locate it, & if they have an export license. will you? spider
