If I had unhedged long positions going into this weekend, I'd be very nervous right now. What with a war going on, and the market being in a toppy condition, there is too much chance of being blindsided by unfavorable news over the weekend. The reports I just heard on CNBC says the air strikes are not impeding the movment of ground troops, possibly necessitating some NATO ground action. While the bulls may find this to be a reason to party, I'm getting the feeling Kosovo situation can be the source of some unhappy surprises.

gold wasn't down $3 yesterday? note the bullish divergence between bullion and the XAU.

gold should start higher late next week, w/ the stocks moving up before that. I would expect it to close down half a buck or so today.
