GEORGE GILDER AND LOU DOBBS TO TAKE CENTER STAGE AMONG INDUSTRY LEADERS

NATICK, Mass., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Esteemed industry visionaries George Gilder and Lou Dobbs will share the spotlight with respected industry leaders to examine the future of high-bandwidth networking at Broadband Year 99, July 12-16, 1999 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.
George Gilder, founder of Forbes ASAP and President of Gilder Technology Group, will lead the conference with a keynote address entitled, "Bandwidth Blowout," on Wednesday, July 14 from 10:30 -- 11:45 a.m. In his discussion, Gilder will reveal the benefits of explosive bandwidth growth to the industry, and offer his view on bandwidth abundance as a viable solution to key network challenges.
On Wednesday, July 14 from 2:30 -- 4:00 p.m., Lou Dobbs, President of CNN Financial News, will join some of the biggest names in networking in a forward-thinking plenary discussion entitled, "Mergers and Acquisitions: Shaping the Future of Broadband." Moderated by Dobbs, the session will feature panelists Mike Volpi, Vice President of Business Development at Cisco Systems, Inc.; John Roth, CEO of Nortel Networks; Michael Thurk, Executive Vice President & General Manager of Ericsson Datacom, Inc.; Carl Pavarini, DNS Vice President of Development & Operations at Lucent Technologies; and Craig Benson, CEO of Cabletron Systems, Inc.
