<< Funds are DAYTRADING the market, in part. You can see it.>>

arthur: That wouldn't surprise me. Many of the Funds have demonstrated that they have ADD and can't successfully invest LONG TERM. Why "buy and hold" when you don't have to?

Many funds are playing around with their investor's money. Fund Managers make big bucks and let investors pay for transaction costs and investment mistakes. Those that are DAYTRADING are clearly bouncing around. AOL this week...EMC next week...DELL the week after <ggg>....

Yet, I think you'll see the highest performing Funds (eg. the Janus 20 Fund) tend to "Buy and Hold." They buy the highest quality growth stocks they can find and think LONG TERM.

Best Regards,

Scott

arthur,
you bet the funds are trading the mkt.
but i still think a 35% drop in dell's share price warrants comment from MD...not HYPE, just a solid comment. too many little investors running out scared...day traders are more resilient, they are just shorting dell now (very stupid move IMO). take care, GR
