exactly.. all mkt tops of all kinds tend to bend over traders because most traders have found a system or thru habit have developed biases that worked in previous bull mkt... (In this mkt it is..."stocks fell yesterday...gee, buy?" how hard is that.. LOL!!) as that mkt ends.. the system stops working and their previous instinctive indicators get crossed so they get f*cked.

All traders usually get heavily long the day before the brunt of the crash wave hits because the mkt appears.. "oversold"
